David’s bio

Graphic Design coordinator

Only recently I understood that all my deepest passions had something in common: To understand what it means to be human. An explorer’s drive to discover a world, our inner world. On this journey, after taking a few courses in psychology and philosophy, reading more and more books about these matters (psychology, consciousness, psychedelics and all that beautiful stuff) and getting into meditation, I decided to venture more deeply into this by doing a bachelor’s and eventually a master’s degree in psychology. Nevertheless, I quickly realized that psychedelics are certainly the most powerful tool to explore our inner worlds and understand human consciousness.

Therefore, this exploration journey led me to co-found a student association dedicated to psychedelic research in Bern called PROBe (Psychedelic Research Organization of Bern). Getting deeper and deeper into this new territory, I met members of the ALPS team, visited the ALPS conference and then ended up being a graphic designer and later graphic design coordinator and researcher for ALPS. Currently, I’m also looking to continue my path in psychedelic research by doing a PhD.

As an explorer, I’m always curious where my journey will bring me next. The opportunity to be part of the ALPS team (which is after all more like a family than just a team…) and actively work together towards a better understanding of these wonderful substances is more than I could have wished for, although I’m convinced that this is only the beginning…
