David’s bio
Composer & Sound Designer and Research Team.
Only recently I understood that all my deepest passions had something in common: To understand what it means to be human. An explorer’s drive to discover a world, our inner world - to understand ourselves and ultimately to support others in their own journeys.
What began with a few courses in psychology and philosophy soon turned into an ever-deepening engagement with topics like consciousness, mental health, meditation, and psychedelics. My journey led me to get a degree in Social Psychology and Social Neuroscience and now, most recently, to begin a PhD in psychedelic research. I quickly realized that psychedelics are among the most powerful tools — not only for exploring our inner worlds and expanding our understanding of consciousness, but also for their transformative potential in supporting individual and collective healing.
Therefore, this exploration journey led me to found a student association dedicated to psychedelic research in Bern called PROBe (Psychedelic Research Organization of Bern) and join ALPS in 2022. I started as a graphic designer, then graphic coordinator, and later took on co-coordination of the Swiss Psychedelic Student Network, where I helped organize the yearly student forum.
Today, my focus in ALPS lies in conducting psychedelic research and the composition and performance of music in various forms.
