Maria’s bio

Organizational Management & Graphic Designer

Originally from Romania, I relocated to London at 18 to pursue an interdisciplinary degree combining Physics, Engineering and Management at University College London. Post-graduation, this path no longer resonated with my passions, so at 21 I pivoted towards my deeper authentic interest - mental health. This led me to study Neuroscience at the University of Geneva (UniGe).

During my time at UCL, I was involved in the Society for Application of Psychedelics (UCL SAP), driven by my interest in novel mental health interventions for treatment-resistant depression. This interest continued when I engaged with UniGe's ARP Society, ultimately leading to joining ALPS Foundation, to extend on accumulated knowledge and engage in meaningful work.

Professionally, I am a puspose-driven individual involved in a variety of projects, spanning mental health, sustainability, AI4Good, and philanthropy. Concerning psychedelics, I care to advance their medical and therapeutic use and contribute to the public's education through science communication. Personally, I am driven by empathy & authenticity, which I aim to translate into everything that I do.
